The cinema gift card giveaway with Film Pulse · September 2026

These are the terms for the giveaway run by encore, by Core Folio, together with Film Pulse on Instagram. By entering you agree to them.

The promoter

The promoter is Core Folio, the maker of encore (corefolios.com), which can be reached at hello@corefolios.com. Film Pulse is a partner in promoting the giveaway and is not responsible for administering it or for the prize.

Who can enter

• You must be 18 or over on the day you enter.
• You must have a public Instagram account, so that we can see your story.
• Employees of Core Folio, Film Pulse, their immediate families, and anyone else professionally connected with the giveaway may not enter.
• The giveaway is open worldwide, except where a giveaway of this kind is prohibited by local law.

How to enter

1. Follow @filmpulse_ and @core_folio on Instagram.
2. Share your top four films from encore to your Instagram story. Open your top four in encore, press Share, and post the card to your story.
3. Tag @core_folio in that story.

All three steps must be complete for an entry to count. One entry per person. No purchase is necessary: encore is free to download and use, and your top four can be set inside the app or imported from Letterboxd.

When it closes

Entries close at 11:59pm British Summer Time on 30 September 2026. Stories posted after that, or that have expired before we have seen them, cannot be counted, so please keep your entry story visible until the closing date or add it to a highlight.

The prize

• One winner will receive a gift card worth US $50, or the equivalent in the winner's local currency at the exchange rate on the day it is bought, for a cinema of the winner's choice.
• The cinema must offer gift cards that can be bought online or sent by email, and must be one we can reasonably purchase from. If the winner's chosen cinema does not, we will agree an alternative cinema or chain with the winner.
• There is no cash alternative, and the prize cannot be transferred or exchanged.
• Any gift card terms, expiry dates and fees are the cinema's own.

Choosing and telling the winner

• The winner will be drawn at random from all valid entries within seven days of the closing date.
• We will contact the winner by Instagram direct message from @core_folio. We will never ask for card details or passwords.
• The winner has 14 days to reply and confirm the cinema and the email address for the gift card. If we do not hear back in that time, or the winner is found to be ineligible, another winner will be drawn.
• The winner's Instagram handle may be announced on the @core_folio and @filmpulse_ accounts. We will ask before sharing anything more.

Your data

We only look at what you post publicly to enter. The winner's Instagram handle, chosen cinema and an email address are used solely to send the prize, and are deleted once it has been sent. Nothing from the giveaway is added to any mailing list. Our full privacy page is at corefolios.com/privacy.

The usual

• This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Instagram or Meta. By entering, you release Instagram and Meta of all responsibility for it.
• We may cancel or change the giveaway if something outside our control makes it impossible to run as described. We will say so on @core_folio.
• Entries that use bots, multiple accounts, or that are abusive will be removed.
• Our decision on the winner is final.
• These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
